Chef de Partie £25,000 with live in available, Hotel & Spa, Cumbria. 

Chef de Partie, £25,000 package including accommodation, meals on duty, uniform & TIPS. Chef de Partie required for multi operational Hotel and spa based in the Lake District. As Chef de Partie in the main kitchen your role will involve preparing, cooking and presenting all products for the Hotel for the Restaurants, functions, events, afternoon teas, weddings & parties. Your role will involve working to an extremely high standard on all areas of the kitchen, utilising the finest fresh local produce. A talented Chef de Partie is wanted for this excellent 4* hotel, to work as part of a happy, vibrant, professional kitchen team with various ongoing training, with development, opportunities & promotion.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As Chef de Partie you will be working in a vibrant kitchen team, working in various kitchen areas and sections. Producing a vast array of different foods and cuisines, covering fine dining to large corporate banquets and wedding functions. Working with an experienced, established team and a long serving Head Chef, there will be many opportunities to learn and develop skills, gaining invaluable experience from a large kitchen brigade. Excellent work environment with emphasis placed on training, development, teamwork and job satisfaction. 

ROLE

  • Ensure that the preparation, production, and presentation of food are of the highest standards
  • Awareness of all menu items, recipes, methods of production & presentation.
  • Knowledge of all standard procedures & policies relating to food preparation, receiving, storage and sanitation.
  • Manages daily food preparation and duties assigned through the managers to meet the standard and the quality set by the Restaurant.
  • Coordinates daily tasks with the Team and works in accordance with deadlines, with the ability to assist and encourage others in achieving this aim.
  • Communication between staff by maintaining a secure and friendly working environment.
  • To train, direct & supervise commis chefs.
  • Ensure highest levels of guest satisfaction, quality, operating and food costs on an ongoing basis.
  • Responsible for hygiene, safety and correct use of equipment and utensils.
  • Perform other tasks as requested by management.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE 

A real passion for food, with drive, commitment, and a willingness to learn & develop is the most important attribute at this hotel! Candidates with a Rosette background would be beneficial but is not essential. You must have a background in a fresh food environment. Catering qualifications and previous experience within a similar establishment is preferred. A commitment and passion for food is certainly required.
