An assistant general manger is required for a busy, high volume, quality cafe & restaurant. The family managed busines require an ambitious and experienced Assistant General Manager for their excellent, established cafe / restuarant in the Greater Manchester area, £25,000 - £26,000 per annum plus extra benefits & incentives.

Our Client is a high end, casual dining cafe & restaurant with a key focus on a fresh food menu, delivered with high standards and excellent customer service. 
This is an excellent opportunity to work with an established and progressive business who have clear expansion plans with a chance to grow and develop with the company.


You will assist the General Manager in the day to day running of the service & management of the business and in the planning, marketing and development of the whole operation. 
You will ensure the departmental managers deliver consistently high standards on food and service and play a key role in the coaching and development of the team. 
In the absence of the General Manager you will take on the role to ensure the continued smooth running of the operation. Favorable hours and some early finishes.

 You will be an experienced cafe /Restaurant supervisor who wants to progress and develop their career to Managerial levels with a CV that shows your continued development and drive to achieve these goals.
The ability to multitask is crucial as is thinking outside the box to ensure quality food and drink is served with a high level of customer service, with an eye for detail. 
Good interpersonal and communication skills are ESSENTIAL. You will also need to have excellent organisational skills with the ability to help train, develop and lead a strong team to increase revenue. 
You must be able to clearly demonstrate excellent food service standards in a fast paced, high footfall restaurant environment. 
Knowledge of relevant Health & Safety policies and procedures is expected
