Bar Manager

Catermatch Solutions are recruiting for an enthusiastic and experienced individual Bar Manager to head the bar operations of a multiple event business. The Bar Manager role is to develop the bar, cocktail & beverage team. You will take responsibility for the Beverage operations of the venue, liaising with the management and directing your bar team to ensure the highest of standards. The Role

This entertainment venue & multi-event space has a strong food and beverage operation that is focused on high standards and delivery of excellent customer service. The successful candidate will be required to ensure that every aspect of the bar operation continues to be at the high standards, and where possible to look at opportunities to exceed them even further. Cellar management skills are essential, cask ales, modern beers & lagers are readily available, replenished and changed daily. A wide range of beverages are available and include cocktails, wines & spirits. You will be expected to be prominent in promotions, liaising with your team to ensure quality of both product and service. You will have excellent knowledge of all health & safety legislation as well as man management skills. Other essential skills & attributes include -stock control, cellar Management, strong leadership, team ethics, new product initiative, positive attitude and the ability to build a professional, happy, productive team

Key Responsibilities/Duties

  • Operational responsibility for the smooth and efficient day to day running of the daily programme of activities and events, ensuring that facilities and core service functions are fit for purpose.
  • To ensure the event & arts spaces are set up on time and to the correct
    specifications utilising the events team
  • Hold full knowledge of UK licensing laws, to ensure the bars are run in
    accordance with Licensing and Hygiene legislation, and ensure team members understand their responsibilities in relation to this, maintaining appropriate records
  • Responding to opportunities to increase sales and enhance audience experience.
  • Act as Wedding Co-Ordinator on weddings when required
  • Ensure all elements of the agreement between Us and the Hirer are meet and standards are always maintained.
  • Hire qualified personnel when needed
  • Organise and coordinate people and operations
  • Ensure supplies and equipment quantity and quality meet our requirements
  • Develop and communicate standard operating procedures
  • To oversee the co-ordination of staff team rotas to ensure appropriate level of cover for operational activities and events to budgets given
