Assistant Manager required for independent, community pub with rooms and function suite, £18,000 per annum + potential bonus package!
Our client is a community pub in the Tameside area of Greater Manchester, with good standard accommodation, bar restaurant, and an 80-cover function suite. They are looking for a customer focused Assistant Manager with bags of personality, to further enhance their reputation.
THE ROLE
As Assistant Manager you will work with the General Manager and team to further the business in all areas – bar, restaurant, events, and rooms. You will be a designated key holder with responsibilities for opening and closing, cash handling, food and beverage service, room and event bookings, and pub management duties. You may be required to do split shifts or sleep overs, but you will be contracted to a 40-hour week.
THE PERSON
You will have experience of working in a front of house food and beverage role, preferably with some management or supervisory experience. You will have a personality and manner that is conducive to establishing a rapport with the local clientele, as well as working with the GM to provide a great working environment. You will have the ability to communicate at all levels.
REQUIREMENTS
Ideally you will be already based in the Tameside area with your own transport. Some hospitality front of house experience is essential, preferably with some at a management or supervisory level. It would also be beneficial to have some experience of operating an electronic point of sales system. Experience of using an online booking system and a good knowledge of using social media would be looked upon very favourably.
